Olympic Update: Water Polo - Terry Schroeder

Since our boys are taking the day off between matches, here's some historical background to tie us over until tomorrow's game.

Four-time Olympic champion and head coach of the USA Men's Water Polo Team, Dr. Terry Schroeder (b. 1958) is considered to be one of the finest players the sport has known.

His stunning physique was immortalized in bronze to greet entrants to the Los Angeles Coliseum for the 1984 Summer Olympics.

Olympic Update: Ben Fogle

Our HCB About Town and Olympic torch bearer, Ben Fogle, commenting on the equestrian competition. He's much too overdressed, but at least he's not wearing a tie, so we can see a glimpse of the glories that lay beneath.

Kristian and Troy's first dive

Our first view of Canadian diver Alexandre Despatie. Oh, I've had a crush on him since the Beijing Games. Only six weeks ago, he hit his head on the board during a practice dive, ripped a wide gash into his scalp, and had to be dragged semi-conscious out of the pool. So even his being here to compete is a feat to be proud of. He and his partner came in 6th.

Waiting for the results... will they medal?

BRONZE! Troy's first medal in his last Olympics!
